Dr. Kevin Rumley, LCSW, LCAS, CCS

Dr. Kevin Rumley, LCSW, LCAS, CCS, is a combat-wounded Marine Corps veteran who received a Purple Heart after enduring 32 surgeries for injuries sustained in combat. He is also a person in long-term recovery and a dedicated advocate for harm reduction approaches, including medication-assisted therapy.

Kevin currently serves as the Program Director for the Buncombe County Veterans Treatment Court (VTC), where he supports justice-involved veterans through recovery and reintegration. He earned his Master of Social Work from Western Carolina University in 2018 and completed his Doctorate in Social Work at the University of Tennessee in 2024.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, and Certified Clinical Supervisor in North Carolina, Kevin brings a wealth of clinical expertise to his work with veterans and those in recovery.

Outside of his professional life, Kevin is passionate about music. He released his first solo album in April 2024 and enjoys using music as a creative and therapeutic outlet.
